Scriptural views on prosperity

Psalm 23 Moving around with Boss man

Moving around with Boss man
Lord God, You’re my ultimate Boss man. With You in charge I have it all. You’re always renewing me in body and mind. It’s in Your nature to take me through life along amazing scenic routes, with quality stopovers for refreshment and relaxation!

Yes I experience challenges and and even life-threatening situations – but I’m not scared. Because You’re right by my side, reassuring me and encouraging me with Your guidance and protection.

What’s more, You’re setting me up for a fantastically rich future. And everyone can see it! You acknowledge me and affirm me – it’s almost too much.

I’m so excited about Your blessings and grace following me all the days of my life … and I can’t wait to live with You for ever. You’re my Boss man!

Whom or what I depend on

Son of righteousness I recently realised that I was hopelessly dependent on money and time. I believed that if I had money the bulk of my challenges in life would be over. If I had more time, if I could somehow organise myself better and draw my boundaries better, then any challenges remaining (after the money issue was sorted) would fizzle out too. Yes money and time would sort me out. They were all I needed for a fruitful and happy life. But God said to me the other day “Thou shalt have no other gods before me”

I’m a Christian. I believe and love my Lord. He gave Himself for me when He died on the cross of Calvary. I know He wants all of me. He’s a jealous God. I’ve given myself to Him and really love this experience with my Special Friend. Really love being lead and encouraged by Him to develop – to grow and change for His glory. He leads me through the valley to pastures green. The other day He said to me “You shall not make for yourself an idol.”

These things that I now recognise as my old idols – I now realise they were horrible masters. Cruel and fickle. Destructive and disruptive. I’m so glad to throw them out the window with God’s help, to cast them away from me. Yes we need money. Yes we need time. But my Heavenly Father knows I have need of these. He said to me the other day “Seek Ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness.” He said “All these things shall be added unto you.”

Thank you Lord for being so patient with me, for waiting for me – finally I get it! Put You and Your righteousness first, and You will provide the money and time I need to face my challenges! Money and time are resources that belong to you! So simple yet so deep. So rewarding yet so obscure. I found a hidden pearl of great price. I rejoice in God my Saviour.

Making a Difference

making a difference

God sent Jesus to preach good news to me, to heal my broken heart, to announce my freedom from the prison house of sin and death, and to pardon me. He sent Him to announce to me the year of His grace – a celebration of the destruction of my enemies – and to comfort me as I mourn, to care for my needs, to give me bouquets of roses instead of ashes, messages of joy instead of news of doom, to give me a praising heart instead of a languid spirit. He renamed me an Oak of Righteousness planted by Him to display His glory! (Based on Isaiah 61:1-3 MSG)

This affirmation tells me that God wants me to grow and flourish in all areas of my life; He wants me to make a positive difference in the lives of others.

You have probably heard of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. It’s not new. This is the hierarchy:-

Level 5 – Self-actualisation / fulfillment
Level 4 – Self-esteem & recognition
Level 3 – Belonging & love
Level 2 – Safety & security- self-preservation
Level 1 – Physiological – food & shelter, survival

Maslow puts self-centred needs at the bottom – the basic needs, but finishes off with self-actualisation at the top – orientation to service and connection with others. These needs are genuine. They are part of our humanity – the way God has made us. The higher needs in this hierarchy only come into focus when the lower needs are met. Once an individual has moved upwards to the next level, needs in the lower level will no longer be prioritised. If a lower set of needs is no longer being met, the individual will temporarily re-prioritise those needs by focusing attention on the unfulfilled needs, but will not permanently regress to the lower level. E.g. a man having an asthma attack focuses at that moment purely on the need for air, rather than the need for a sense of fulfillment in his life …

Accept the gifts

I accept

Recently I’ve realised more fully that the best I can do for my Saviour is to accept everything He has done, and wants to do, for me! If I invite Him to do so, He will give me faith, cleansing from sin, and love. These three gifts empower me to live the Christian life – a life of success and fulfillment.

Therefore I speak these words of affirmation and power:-

“I have faith in Jesus Christ – I accept it”

“I am covered by the merits of Jesus’ blood – I accept the atonement”

“I am filled with His love – I accept His love for me and His pouring it into my heart”

The Bible verses that I claim are:-

1 Corinthians 12.7-9 NIV Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit,

Romans 12.3 NIV …in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you.

Jude 1.3 CEV …I must write and ask you to defend the faith that God has once for all given to his people.

1 John 1:7 NIV But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

Lev 17.13 NLT It is the blood, given in exchange for a life, that makes purification possible.

Rev 7.15 NIV And he said, “These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

Romans 5:5 NKJV Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

Living With The Sunshine

I want to learn to live in the sunshine and not in the shadows. Many of us live in the habit or pattern of listening to the devil all day long. We listen to what he says. We listen to his temptations. You are guilty. God does not love you. God hates you. You might as well give up. We talk about our trials. We talk about our problems. We talk about how the devil is beating us up all day long.

Next time the devil brings up your past you just remind him about his future. Tell him where to get off. Find who you are in Jesus Christ – everything that Christ says about you is positive and it is empowering.

I Am Accepted

You Are Special

Leo Schriven reports that within a couple of months of spending a half hour in the four gospels his temper was gone. It was gone. All the negative hatred that he had in his life to everybody was gone. He had a the foulest mouth a cowboy could possibly have. In two months it was gone. He was always mad, always lost his temper, hated everybody. In a couple of months it was gone. He began to experience this thing called the power of God.

fish If I want to live this incredible life of achievement and success I must tap into this incredible source of life and power every single day. I am doing this. It will cause me to master my life forever. I am promised. So can you.

When you tap into this source of power. One thing is very important. Communication. In every relationship, husband and wife and so on , communication is very important. Yes, that right communication. When you enter into this communicating relationship. A lot of things will come into play that you have never seen before and never understood before. It becomes very personal.

Psalms 139:13-17

“Thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb, I will praise thee for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. My substance was not hid from thee when I was made in secret… Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect, and in thy book all body parts were written which one at a time were fashioned, when as yet there were none of them How precious are thy thoughts to me O God!”

God says here that from the time I was conceived in my mother’s womb He knew me. Before any of my body parts were fashioned He knew me. At the moment of conception He had a book where everything was written about me. What does this mean? It means then that there is only one of me, in the entire universe. This is awesome. This makes me very special. The way I look. The colour of my hair. My personality everything, God knows about me. And you.

Coming to Terms with Life

I want to continue exploring what the Bible says about mastering your life. I believe in the Bible and I believe it has the power to change lives. I am putting my life forward. I want to change. Religion however is something else. It has caused more heartache and problems, including wars, than anything else that has existed in the world. I love the Bible but hate religion. I love and appreciate many things about the Bible and Christianity because the Bible is a book that makes sense. Christianity is a faith that can be tested. It is built on truth. It is built on evidence. It is built on prophecy. It is built on fact.

bible There are many life mastery programs out there. I am researching the Bible because I believe the other programs fall short on principles. I believe it is impossible to reach your full potential without a complete belief on the Bible and the God of the Bible. Everything around us testifies to a creator God. Any intelligent person has to acknowledge the presence of a Creator God. Look around you. Look at everything in our universe how orderly it is. Look at all the laws that govern every single aspect of our universe.

Look at the watch on your arm. The watch did not come by existence by itself. It came into existence by organised intelligence. Some form of intelligence, a human one. Suppose the watch has a hundred parts in it. Take the parts and disassemble them. Put the parts in a box. You can shake the box for a hundred billion years and the watch parts will never assemble themselves into a smooth working watch. That is correct. Now that is a simple watch with a hundred parts.

Consider now our entire universe. Think about how well the different parts of the universe work together, in perfect harmony. Look at all the laws that are fixed and govern everything. Look at yourself. The image of God. As God created you. Your own internal world. Your ability to love and be loved. Your ability to reproduce someone else just like yourself. That is not the result of random chance. It cannot be. There is all kinds of evidence that there is a Creator God and this God has an incredible plan for your life.

In fact can I know this God? Can this God make an overall difference in my life. Can God make a difference in my overall success and achievement in life? The answer is an absolute YES. I want to tap into this source of power that I have only had a glimpse of before. God’s power is limitless. There is no end to the power that can come into our lives when we connect to God, in a relationship with Him.

weightsuccess Most people go through life powerless. Completely powerless. Which is easier to be good or to be bad? The typical answer is BAD. Is it easier to be positive or negative to life? Always the typical answer is negative. Is it easier to do wrong or to do what is right? It is easier to do wrong. Is it easier to be a failure or a success? Easier to be a failure. Why is it easier to be bad, negative, to do wrong and to be a failure? Why? What is the cause? It boils down to a simple three letter word. SIN.

Sin is the single most detrimental thing there is in the world to destroy your life. Sin is the greatest enemy to your success and achievement in life. Sin is the most debilitating emotion that people feel on a daily basis. Sin brings on feelings like guilt and shame and anger and defeat. Sin destroys yourself worth. It destroys your relationships. It can be devastating to your finances. It will ruin your health. Sin is the underlying root cause of all our poverty and inability to live lives of success and power. This is an absolute Bible fact. Inside of everybody in our societies there is a desire for something better in our lives. Everybody wants more happiness. Everybody wants more money in their life. Everybody wants a better marriage and fulfilling relationships.

You are reading this because there is a desire in you to have a better life, to achieve more, to master things in your life. Everybody has that desire. Where does that desire come from? Who put that desire in you? How does it exist? What does the Bible tell us? God. God put that desire in you. It is my Creator who actually put that feeling in me. God has created every single one of us as human beings of unlimited potential. Unlimited greatness and unlimited power. Jesus says, “I have come that they may have life and have it more abundantly”. And God knows that the single most damaging element in my life to keep me from achieving that success and that power is the thing called sin. The good news is that God knows how to get rid of sin and put in its place the unlimited power that will live in my life.

Responsible for my Life

Anybody can achieve success. You do not need to be an intellectual. You do not need to be someone special. Success is as predictable as the sunrise. Therefore anybody can achieve success. Including me. If your life has been a failure it is not because of one act. To be a failure you have to go down in your life step by step. Not giving 100%. Not improving yourself. Not caring and so on. This translates into a step by step downward trend.

Businessman Thinking Success is the same way. It is a step by step progress up. Using your will. Giving 100%. A life of success and achievement is built one step at a time. Steady daily progress. It never happens instantly. Plan to make 1% improvement today, another 1% tomorrow and another 1% the following day and so on.

Within a year your life will literally explode with power. With the passing of time you make it a way of life. It is not something you just do once when you hear it. It should become who you are. A great way to live.

After the decision is made, you’ve got to take responsibility of your life.

Accepting responsibility for your life

is the starting point of all great accomplishment.

As I look at my life. I realise I am the architect of my life. I am responsible for the destiny of my life. I am the driver behind the wheel of my life. I am where I am, I am what I am in life because of my own choices, my own decisions and using the power that I have to put me where I am today. I accept responsibility. It is not my parents’ fault who raised me a certain way, it is not the government. It is not because I was raised poor or that I did not have opportunities or any other thing. It is me. I am totally responsible for my life, my character, my decisions. I am responsible for everything that has ever happened to me in my life. This is an important step. I am taking this step today.

“IF IT IS TO BE, IT’S UP TO ME.”

teamsuccessEven God will not force your will. He will not force my will. The acceptance of personal responsibility for your life is literally the starting point of all success. Without the acceptance of personal responsibility for your life there is nothing else that will take place. There is a one to one relationship between the amount of responsibility you are willing to take in your life and the amount of success you are going to enjoy in your life. You can spot a winner all the time. How do you spot a winner? A winner is always somebody who looks to himself as the cause of what is happening in his life. A loser is always making excuses. Always blaming somebody else. Always blaming Mom and Dad or whoever. The government, the job, the home, the school, the teacher. “I was brought up this way. That is what they did to me.”

I want to get past this. I will not blame my parents, my country, my friends, my family. I will not blame my past or my present. I am from now on responsible for my life. Now I am ready to take the second step towards a life of success and achievement.

A start on the practical principles

The honest ownership of a business that is legal, that does not take advantage of people, not lying, cheating or stealing but a productive business delivering quality products that people need and are going to buy anyway and guaranteeing when they get it. This is business. This is called entrepreneurship. Network marketing is all about building a system, an organization, of people that want a better way of life.

It is great when a couple dream together, identify together, see the future together. You must believe that you are going to succeed in your life endeavour. Say that you are a winner. You are going to win because you are going to do the best with your life. You are not going to do anything less than the best. You are going to go after the best.

What is the best? The best is that which the most people will benefit from. Whatever benefits the most people is what you do with your life. Do it gladly. People will criticize and minimize your enterprise, but do it anyway. Motivate yourself and go do what you need to do. Build an organization of people. Build an organization of people that want to be in it because they want to be free. Build an organization of people that are willing to pay the price. Build a team of people that are willing to learn the best so that they can teach the best.

Anybody can make a decision to be a multi millionaire. Anybody can. Anybody can who can believe this unashamedly can become one, if you learn the process. What is the process?

teamwork 1. Work five nights a week. (Keep your job until you are free.)

2. Do the nine things that have been identified as good core habits.

3. Use the three powers that have been identified as essential for success.

3.1. The power of unity, the power of teamwork, pulling together, uplifting and encouraging each other.

3.2. The power of the spoken word.

3.2.1. “You are snared by the words of your mouth; you are taken by the words of your mouth.” Proverbs 6:2.

3.2.2. “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit. Proverbs 18:21.

3.2.3. When we do this we are making the Word of God, the Bible come alive in our life. You will make the Word of God prove itself over and over again. These are principles, spiritual laws that work for all mankind. No matter what your religion, race or nationality take God on His Word.

3.3. The power of submission.

These ideas will be developed as I continue to blog. But this is noteworthy. Jesus sponsored 12 disciples. The Christian faith was built on the principles of networking. That is where we have learned this system from. Do not be dismayed by people who do not understand that helping other people, uplifting people is the way to Godly prosperity. Truthfully they are going nowhere.

I am thrilled that the Bible is the foundation upon which one can build life.

MIND-SET 2

In the last blog we started to explore the idea of renewing our minds. We learned that if we renew our minds, God will transform our lives. Here we look at God’s promises for our lives, to find some ‘mind steps’ we can take to move to where we want to be.

Our thought choices

Dock We determine, by our own thought choices, which way our life is going to go, drawing in what we constantly think about. By dwelling on the promises of God, you will develop a positive attitude of faith and be propelled towards greatness and the good things of God, just as iron filings are pulled across a desk by a magnet. Yes, if you will transform your mind, God will transform your life.

If a thought brings fear, worry, doubt or unbelief, if it makes you feel weak, inadequate or insecure, then it’s not from God and needs dismissing immediately.

… bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,… 2 Corinthians 10:5 NKJV

Instead say ‘I can do all things through Christ. I’m coming out of this. Like Joseph, whatever I put my hands to do shall prosper.’

…the LORD made all he did to prosper in his hand. Genesis 39:3 NKJV

Choose to dwell on what you have, not on what you don’t have. Dwell on the great future that God has in store for you rather than on all your problems, on thoughts of failure or loss, on all the people that have hurt you, or all the mistakes you’ve made. Your subconscious will respond to those positive thoughts and you’ll move towards a happy positive life. If you can see the invisible, God will do the impossible.

Speak affirmations
Lastly, here are some positive affirmations based on Scriptural promises. Say them out loud with emotion! Yes shout them out with conviction! That way you will hear them, and so will your subconscious. You will have started to renew your mind so that God can transform you into who He dreams you to be. God will perform His word.

I am ready to perform My word. Jeremiah 1:12 NKJV

i099aIt will not return to Him empty but will accomplish what He pleases, and will prosper in the thing for which He sent it.

So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth;
It shall not return to Me void,
But it shall accomplish what I please,
And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
Isaiah 55:11 NKJV

  1. My mind is stayed on You Lord. Thank you that you keep me in perfect peace. I trust in You. From Isaiah 26:3

2. Because I live according to the Spirit, I set my mind on spiritual things. From Romans 8:5.

3. I am spiritually-minded, which is life and peace to me. From Romans 8:6

4. I am transformed by the renewing of my mind, that I may prove that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. From Romans 12:2

5. I bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. From 2 Corinthians 10:5

6. I am not deceived. My mind is not corrupted away from the simplicity that is in Christ. From 2 Corinthians 11:3

7. I am renewed in the spirit of my mind. From Ephesians 4:23

8. This mind that is in me was also in Christ. From Philippians 2:5

9. I set my mind on things above, not on things on the earth. From Colossians 3:2

10. Lord I am like Joseph. You make all that I do to prosper in my hand. From Genesis 39:3

11. Thank you Lord for putting Your law in my mind and writing it on my heart. From Jeremiah 31:33, Hebrews 8:10 and Hebrews 10:16

12. Things which are impossible with men are possible with God. From Luke 18:27

13. I have the mind of Christ. From 1 Corinthians 2:16

14. The peace of God guards my heart and mind, through Christ Jesus. From Philippians 4:7

15. God has already given me the spirit of power, the spirit of love and the spirit of a sound mind. From 2 Timothy 1:7

Powerful stuff! To God be the glory.
