Scriptural views on prosperity

I Am Dead

dead to sin God stands in our life and says, “I am giving you the victory. I am giving you the victory over your temper.” Now if God gives me something, what do I have to do to get it? I take it. I take the victory. It is so simple, it is hard. As adults we want to know if there is something that we have to do to get the victory from God. Nothing. Just take it. “Don’t I have to try to keep the Sabbath?” No, it is done for you. Just take the victory.

It is contrary to our nature to just take it. We have a hard time accepting it. We need to understand this concept, that victory is a gift from God, then there is no stress, there is no pressure to try to quit the bad habit. I do not have to battle with my bad habits anymore, I do not have to fight anymore.

I can just sit back and relax and say, “Thank you God. I accept your gift of victory. I believe your Word. I believe you have given me victory, therefore it is out of my life. Thank you Lord God.” This is powerful. I believe that God can give me victory on any limiting habit I am willing to quit. This is the first step.

STEP 1

1Corinthians 15:57

But thanks be to God, which GIVETH us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

This is the key thing. No longer will we pray, “Dear Jesus, give me the strength, dear Jesus help me not to do this today.” No we need to forget this kind of prayer because Jesus has given us the victory and we need to thank Him. Jesus wants us to have the victory therefore He gives it to us. He has already given it to us. We just need to take it. It is simple . I no longer complicate it.

STEP 2

Romans 6:11

Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be DEAD indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

God says that once I have given you the victory, then whenever that sin or habit comes into your life again reckon that you are dead. If you are dead, can you smoke? No. If you are dead can you lose your temper? No. If you are dead can you yell? No. If you are dead can you snuff cocaine? No. If you are dead you cannot do it anymore. It is impossible. God says that we are to think of ourselves as dead.

Let’s say you have a problem smoking. You are on the job. The craving comes to smoke. “Boy I would like to have a smoke.” What are you going to do? You can say I am going to try to quit. God give me strength. You will fail.

When the temptation comes to smoke, go back to the promise “God give me the victory. I am dead I can’t smoke anyway. I am dead. Praise God. Thank you for giving me the victory.”

Pray For Me

Many things happen to our children our friends and people we like. We want them to have a better life but we cannot do anything. We want them to have a better choice. God Himself cannot do anything. When we pray for other people, our children, our friends, our co-worker, it allows God to do things in that person’s life that He can’t otherwise do. This is an incredible Bible principle.

father and son You can pray for a son or daughter that has gone in a different direction. They have gone off and are limiting their life in a terrible way. You can pray for God to bring circumstances, or providences, or miracles, or a slap in their life to get their attention with a crisis. You can pray for God to bring extraordinary things in their life. When you pray it gives God permission to be able to do it and counteract the enemy, the devil and Satan out there. The most amazing thing is when you begin to experience this it changes your life.

I have prayed for someone and I have seen God answer my prayer. It has happened to me. There is a God. He is as real as I am real writing here. I can say truly that I know that God has answered my prayer. It was an awesome thing when I realized that I was in touch with an awesome power. God says that when I am His all heaven is at my disposal.

When you see God answer that prayer. When you see God perform that miracle. When you see God’s providence do something that was impossible you begin to realise there is power. Power that you have never begun to experience in life.

Christianity and a belief in God as you master your life is not some theory. It is a living, vibrant, open, dynamic relationship that is real and powerful and you’ve got to live it every day. There is nothing like it. I am encouraged every day I am living it.

An important thing when it comes to living this life of prayer is to understand God’s five minute plan to eliminate any bad or limiting habit that is in your life. It works says Leo Schreven. This plan works for any limiting habit in life. Alcohol problem? Smoking problem? Problem loosing you temper? Lust of the flesh problem? It works for every single thing that might be limiting in your life.

It’s just three steps.

In Love

When that love, as you read the Bible, comes into your heart it has the power to transform your life in ways that cannot be described. It works a lot like a human relationship. A love relationship works on an interesting level. Two people meet each other. They begin to take walks together and they begin to know each other. The more time they spent together the more attracted they became toward each other. They began to discover things about each other. Sweetness, kindness, loveliness, and other things begin to manifest themselves to each other.

inlove They begin to spend more time together. The more time they spend together the more they begin to enjoy each other. Pretty soon they really like each other. Pretty soon it is more than like it is love. Pretty soon all they want to do is spend time with each other and make each other happy. Then all they want to do is to be with each other for the rest of their lives.

That is how a love relationship grows. Love grows, trust grows. It is the same thing with Christ. When we get into the Bible we begin to realize that Christ is an awesome person. He was not just the person that walked on this earth. He loved people. That love begins to touch your heart. God loves me. God loves you. He knows how many hairs are on my head. He knows how many hairs you lost in the blow dryer this morning. He is acquainted with me. God says, “I know you so well. I created you in your mother’s womb. Now I want to enter into a love relationship with you.”

You spend time with Him. You grow in a love relationship with Him. This brings this beautiful life of love and joy and power, and Jesus becomes your best friend. You have begun you day with God. You have spent time with Him. Now comes another important aspect of this relationship with God.

Communication with God. This is prayer. This boils down to four simple elements. They are a very important part of life mastery.

· Praising and thanking God.

· Expressing your love to God.

· Talking to God about specific things such as physical or spiritual desires.

· Interceding for others.

Precious to God

There is only one of you in the entire universe. This makes you very special indeed. The way you look. The colour of your hair. Your personality everything God designed from the moment you where in your mother’s womb. You are precious to God.

precious He loves you with a love that is incomprehensible. He wants you to know Him as your Creator. He is an incredible God but He is small enough to live in my heart and He wants to live in your heart as well. He wants to fill us with His very power and presence. I accept you Lord God. Come into my life and make me whole.

John 3:16

“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Jeremiah 31:3

“I have loved thee with an everlasting love, Therefore with loving kindness have I drawn thee.”

God wants us to know that He loves us in a very personal way. He loves me! He wants to enter into a relationship with me, and fill me with His power. Fill you with His power!

Hosea 14:4

“I will heal their back sliding, I will love them freely.”

Romans 5:8

“But God commanded his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us.”

Romans 8:25-39

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

The Bible is filled with one thing, love. This thing called love is the most powerful emotion that we can experience in our physical body. Many of us go through life without love. We never got love. We never got it from our parents, we don’t get from our society. Nobody can care less about us in society. God wants us to know that our life can be filled with His love every single day.

Ephesians 3:17-19

“That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith, that you being rooted and grounded in love may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that you might be filled with all fullness of God.”

When that love as you read the Bible comes into your heart it has the power to transform your life in ways that cannot be described.
